高公局研判，春節連假交通型態以返鄉團圓與旅遊並重，南向車流集中在初一至初三，其中初二達最大量，預估約 69 百萬延車公里（mvk），約為平日 1.5 倍。 北向車流則集中於初三至初五，初四為最高峰，預估達 75 mvk，約平日 1.6 倍；初三當天雙向合計交通量最大，約 135 mvk。 高公局也提醒，北返車流可能出現長時間壅塞，部分路段甚至延續至凌晨，恐有跨夜車潮情形。
