A 28-year-old died Thursday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a dump truck on Cedar Swamp Road, Nassau County police reports. Detectives said at 5:08 p.m. the man was headed north on a 2002 Yamaha motorcycle when he struck a 2000 Hino dump truck being operated by a 55-year-old man that was turning onto Cedar Swamp Road from westbound Hemlock Drive.

The Brookville Police Department says they were called at around 5:11 p.m. to Cedar Swamp Road where the motorcycle crashed into a landscaping truck.
