Pakistan has recalled fast bowler Hasan Ali as backup for the injured Haris Rauf for the Twenty20 series against Ireland and England as it searches for the right pace combination for next month’s T20 World Cup.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce Pakistan's 18-member squad for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England. Babar Azam will lead the Men in Green in the two overseas bilateral series before the 2024 T20 World Cup.

Pakistani selectors on Thursday dropped leg-spinner Usama Mir for the T20 series in Ireland and England while recalling fast bowler Haris Rauf.

Pakistan has named seamers Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali in the 18-man squad for the Ireland and England T20Is starting May 10. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said they will announce the final 15 for the 2024 T20 World Cup among these chosen 18 players before May 24 (the deadline).

Haris Rauf and Hasan Ali are set to rejoin the Pakistan cricket team for the upcoming T20I series against Ireland and England. The team will play three T20Is against Ireland and four against England to prepare for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024.
