The head of the US Federal Food and Drug Administration said that plans are in place in case the H5N1 bird flu virus starts to affect humans. FDA Commissioner Dr Robert Califf recently spoke to a Senate Committee about the current bird flu outbreak that is affecting dairy cattle in nine states.
