Walmart Inc. plans to lay off hundreds of corporate workers and is asking others to relocate to new cities, the Wall Street Journal reported Monday night.

Retail behemoth Walmart is preparing to cut nearly 600 jobs across two of its corporate offices in the Bay Area in the coming months, according to recent filings with California’s Employment Development Department.
