The 22News Storm Team issued a Weather Alert for strong to severe thunderstorms likely on Friday, especially in the afternoon and evening.

Friday is a First Alert Weather Day for the Denver metro area and all of Eastern Colorado. Expect less heat but, a much bigger threat of severe thunderstorms developing by afternoon and evening.

Friday is a Pinpoint Weather Alert Day for the risk of severe storms in metro Denver and out across the Eastern Plains.
