Dense, papery flowerheads simply cover the uniform 2-foot plants all summer long, leaving you with the problem of whether to cut it at first bloom for dried use or let it revel in full glory in the summer sun. Either way, Soiree never disappoints.Easy to grow in full sun, it is not picky about soil type provided the drainage is adequate. Plants are superb for the border or bed, and indispensible for the cutting garden.To dry, simply cut the stem at desired height (or cut the entire plant at the base), remove the foliage, and hang the branch upside-down in a well-ventilated, dry location.
