The best time to plant a Pride of Barbados shrub is in the Spring or Fall. Sow. Soak seeds in water for 24 to 48 hours. Nick the seed with a knife or nail file. Plant seeds in soil about 1/2 to 1 inch deep and at least 3 inches apart from other seeds. Keep soil moist. Seeds will germinate in about 2 months.
