Proximel Ag Silicone Foam Dressings feature a unique five-layer design that promotes healing by quickly and effectively managing wound exudate while reducing and redistributing pressure at the injury site thereby reducing complications, enhancing patient comfort, and promoting optimal wound care and healing. These unique dressings also reduce wound healing time and offer up to a 99.99% antimicrobial effect against a wide range of pathogens thanks to the silver impregnated within them; plus, they provide a sustained silver release over time thus allowing these dressings to be worn for up to seven days on medium and low levels of exudate. Moreover, they are gentle on patients' skin to reduce irritation and pain and thus enable them to be changed without stripping epidermal cells; they can also be lifted or repositioned without leakage or loosening, and the small perforations in their absorptive pad reduce the risk of in-growth while their waterproof barrier seals out bacteria.
