Budget-friendly it offers a number of features that make it a good choice for home use. The PT639D features two decks: Deck A is for playback only and Deck B for playback and record. You can play both sides continuously in Deck A. In Deck B the recording sources can either be Deck A a mixer receiver or music player via the RCA Line input on the rear panel or both Deck A and the Line-input signal combined together. Two volume knobs enable you to set the left and the right recording levels independently. Digital noise reduction is onboard to help reduce tape hiss providing crisper playback and clearer recordings.The PT639D cassette deck lets you choose from a variety of tape options including normal CrO2 and metal tapes for both playing and recording on the A&B Decks. The high-speed recording mode enables you to copy a tape faster than it would take to play it in real time. There is a two-color LED display to help you set your recording levels. Use the stereo RCA line output to connect the deck to a PA system or a pair of active speakers.
