Because it's a self-contained system, it only needs to be connected to an electric hook-up to heat its steam jacket. The two-thirds steam jacket is filled permanently with treated water and doesn't require venting or refilling. Its 50-PSI rating lets it withstand high cooking temperatures, which can expedite cooking time and allow users to achieve various results. The solid-state temperature controls produce and maintain temperatures from 145 to 260 degrees Fahrenheit, and the standard control panel includes LED indicators for heat cycles and low water levels, a power on/off dial, and a temperature control dial.To pour large volumes of product, the Cleveland KEL40T electric kettle features a crank-tilt mechanism that enables users to tilt the kettle manually. While the large pouring lip accommodates thick, chunky products, the manual-tilt design improves operator control over pouring speed. To ensure the unit is stabilized throughout cooking and pouring, it's mounted on an open tri-leg base with adjustable leveling feet intended to be bolted into the floor.
