The Heatwave floor warming mat kit includes a reversible, self-adhering floor heating mat that generates 12 watts per square foot. The complete in-floor heating system includes a 7 day, 4-event programmable GFCI thermostat that can switch 120 or 240 volts and up to 15 amps. The floor heating thermostat comes with a built-in ambient air sensor and remote in-floor temperature sensor, allowing for maximum heating flexibility. The GCFI feature adds a layer of protection to the heated floor system and is required by most US/CAN building codes. Heatwave can be installed under differing types of flooring to provide a steady, even and efficient floor heat. The radiant heating is accomplished by fully embedding the Heatwave Mat in a cement-based compound mortar, thinset and/or self-leveling compound).
