Vibrant Camellia Thats Cold Hardy Merging stunning visual interest with cold hardy strength, the Korean Fire Camellia is a must-have for elevating your garden. Its especially known for its bright red petals and warm gold pops of color, creating a captivating look that fits in anywhere. Even better? You can transfer its beauty indoors. Simply snip off a few blooms from its stable branches, along with its dark green foliage for unbelievable dimension. From decorative vases full of flowers to larger focal pieces on tabletops, fresh clippings from the Korean Fire transform your homescape. Plus, the Korean Fire Camellia beats the cold to come alive in spring. So, theres no need to worry about it being affected by freezing. Its an adaptable plant thats built to thrive, even in heavy clay or sandy soils. And though the Korean Fire is a late bloomer compared to other varieties, it displays the last spectacular camellia blossoms of the season. From cottages to courtyards and even shady areas, the Korean Fire offers a tropical look in any climate, with its fiery, single form flowers. And since it thrives in shade, you can plant it under dense tree canopies, along borders and beyond. Especially since its expertly chosen and cultivated at our nursery, long before it arrives at your door. We put in the extra work to plant your Korean Fire, grow and monitor it, so you get the best possible results at home, no matter where you plant it. With the Korean Fire Camellia, its easy to lend a little slice of island-inspired style to your landscape. The Koreans effortless care, exotic elegance and one-of-a-kind adaptability make it a second-to-none favorite. Order your own Korean Fire Camellia today! Planting & Care 1. Planting: Well-drained soil and full to partial shade (this means very little direct sunlight): Thats all your Korean Fire needs to thrive. Aside from that, try to plant the Camellia in a location that offers some protection during the extra cold winds of winter. We also recommend planting during the fall or winter seasons. Once youve selected your location, dig a planting hole that is twice the diameter of the Korean Fires root ball and just as deep. Then, fill the hole, tamp the soil down around the roots to remove air pockets, and water the plant thoroughly to help settle the soil. Finally, apply a 2 to 3-inch layer of mulch around the base of the plant to keep the area moist and deter weed growth. 2. Watering: Keep the soil moist for the first year of growth - generally, this means watering about once or twice weekly. Take care not to oversaturate the soil, but if youre not sure when to water, simply check the surrounding soil about 2 to 3 inches down. If the soil is dry here, its time to water.3. Fertilizing: Fertilize your Korean Fire in the spring after the flowers have dropped - ideally using a soluble fertilizer once or twice a month in spring and mid-summer. 4. Pruning: Though the Korean Fire rarely requires pruning, you may remove any broken or damaged branches after summer flowering. Also, thinning out the interior branches and shortening the lower limbs will encourage upright growth. | 1 Gallon - Korean Fire Camellia Shrub/Bush - Vibrant Camellia Thats Cold Hardy, Outdoor Plant See how our 30 Day Happy & Healthy Gaurantee compares to Garden Goods Direct, Lowe's.
