Blackberry - 'Chester' thornless live plant. This perennial plant is named for its high yield production as much as its incredible tasty berries. Fruiting for 5 weeks starting starting in July through August, this variety has a semi-erect habit which can be trellised or pruned in summer. And best of all, no thorns! Cultivation: Plant in full sun and well draining, loamy and slightly acidic soil (5.8 to 6.2). Upright form and fast growth rate. Self-fertile, Zones 5-9. These 5"+ plants come in 2.5" x 2.5" x 2.5" deep pots.
