You don't need expensive ignition boxes or ugly coil-on-plug ignitions to build a fun, responsive engine (just ask Mickey, Smokey and Grumpy...the mechanics, not the dwarfs). All HEI distributors are shipped with a "base" tune designed to get you up and running. The "base" tune is for an average combination, resulting in average performance. Our DIY super-tuning kit helps you optimize your ignition advance at all engine speeds. The adjustable vacuum advance dials in more ignition advance for good part-throttle performance, while preventing the harmful effects of spark knock (detonation) under high loads. The centrifugal weight set offers numerous advance curves to increase spark lead as RPM increases. Fits GM-style HEI distributors (large-cap HEI).
