The subtle molding on its curved backboard makes our Austen Bed a classic centerpiece in your little one's room and was especially designed to fit small spaces. It was constructed from made-to-last materials to ensure safety, stability and longevity. HOW IT IS CONSTRUCTED Crafted with solid rubber wood, plywood and MDF (medium density fiberboard). Expertly constructed with mortise-and-tenon and tongue-and-groove joinery for high quality structural integrity. Kiln-dried wood helps prevent warping, splitting, cracking and developing mildew. Finish is applied using child-safe, water-based paint, which provides durability, depth of color and richness to each piece of furniture. DETAILS THAT MATTER Detailed with molded paneling headboard. Mattress platform is made of 100% solid poplar wood slats for extra strength; designed for use with or without a box spring. Mattress and box springs are sold separately.
