The "PTT tune" function provides for simple operation when band-changing and supports remote control from ICOM transceivers. High-speed automatic tuning only takes 2-3 seconds. However, when re-tuning to the same frequency, matching is achieved in as little as 1 second because of its built-in 45 memory slots that store minimum SWR settings. The AH-730 emits a low 0.3 Watts of RF output from the antenna during a tuning operation, minimizing the risk of interference to other stations during a matching operation. The AH-730 features a high-strength resin case that protects internal components from the elements and is certified to IPX4 splash protection standards.
