Its 40-liter volume makes it the optimal choice for kitchens, office spaces, apartments and any individual who wants to cut down on garbage bag use and trips to the curb. Its sleek stainless steel design and fingerprint-resistant coating will also add to the look and feel of your kitchen while keeping waste out of sight. The compactor is manual, requiring neither batteries nor electricity. To compact trash, detach the compaction device by pressing down on the handle until it releases, then pushes down to compact the garbage to the bottom. Once done, bring the compaction device back up, and it will magnetically attach back to the lid. While compacting, the cans wide lid and compaction device will make the job easier and help keep your hands clean at the same time. When it comes time for a new bag, hold the stay-open lever to keep the lid open and add a new 10-gallon bag. Once replaced, a specialized bag lock will conveniently prevent the bag from slipping.
