The federal government is suspending certain research funding to the University of California at Los Angeles, citing concerns about antisemitism and bias on campus, according UCLA Chancellor Julio Frenk.

UCLA called the decision "a loss for Americans across the nation whose work, health, and future depend on the groundbreaking work we do."

The federal government has frozen or paused federal funding over similar allegations against private colleges, but this is one of the rare cases in which it has targeted a public university.
