SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — After much speculation, Nintendo unveiled the lead actors who will take on the hero roles of Link and Princess Zelda in the upcoming “Legend of Zelda” live-action movie.

The Zelda movie is being co-financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., with Nintendo covering more than 50% of the financing. Sony will handle the worldwide theatrical distribution.

Nintendo is already doing Nintendo things in the movie world. Its first real attempt, The Super Mario Bros. Movie in collaboration with Illumination, grossed over $1.3 billion at the box office.
