The Boston Red Sox acquired left-handed pitcher Steven Matz from the St. Louis Cardinals late Wednesday night. Boston reportedly sent infielder Blaze Jordan to the Cardinals in exchange for Matz, who is in the final year of a four-year, $44 million deal.
