The Cincinnati Bengals were preparing to enter training camp this week despite still being at odds with two prominent pieces of their defense in sack leader Trey Hendrickson and rookie first-round pick Shemar Stewart.

Trey Hendrickson’s contract situation continues to hover over the opening of Bengals training camp. As the situation lingers, owner Mike Brown struck an optimistic tone when asked about Hendrickson on Monday.

Hendrickson is entering the final year of his contract. NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport shared another update on the Bengals star on Monday night.

All-Pro defensive end Trey Hendrickson will not be with the Cincinnati Bengals for the start of training camp.

Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, Te'o said on Tuesday morning's GMFB that Hendrickson called the Bengals' offers "atrociously, atrociously low," especially in regards to the amount of guaranteed money offered. Hendrickson is owed $15.8 million in base salary for the 2025 season.
