To ensure inbound tourism and the domestic economy get a much-needed boost, South Korea will temporarily waive visa requirements for Chinese tour groups from September 29, 2025 until June 2026, the government announced on August 6.

The temporary measure, announced ahead of the October holiday season in China, is aimed at revitalising the domestic tourism sector in the lead-up to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC)
