SYDNEY, June 24 (Reuters) - Australian authorities ramped up surveillance and testing of wildlife and livestock on Wednesday after a second state reported a case of the highly pathogenic H5N1 bird flu.

Australia's world-first attempt to ban social media for under-16s has shown little evidence of reducing use among young people, a new study has found. The study, released today, raises questions over whether a similar ban proposed in the UK will substantially reduce young people's use of social media.
