The Twins placed the all-star center fielder on the injured list for the third time this season with a right hip impingement. Buxton first started missing time because of his hip in May, but didn’t land on the injured list until July. Since early July, he’s been on and off the injured list because the issue, most recently coming back on Aug. 13.

The Chicago White Sox didn’t have a hit until the sixth inning in Sunday’s 5-1 loss to the Minnesota Twins in front of 26,225 at Target Field. Drew Romo became the team’s first base runner with a two-out single to right field in the sixth against Twins starter Zebby Matthews.
