After a sunny 60-degree day, Chicago is expected to hit a record near 70 Monday before a strong spring storm brings a risk of severe weather Tuesday, followed by cooler temperatures and a slight chance of wet snow midweek.

A 62-year-old man was wounded in a shooting during an armed robbery Sunday evening on Chicago’s Far South Side, police said. The man was sitting inside a parked vehicle around 6:24 p.m. near 100th Street and Avenue M in the East Side neighborhood.
