A teenager was fatally shot and at least eight other teens were wounded in separate shootings in downtown Chicago on Friday night, according to authorities. The first shooting occurred at 9:50 p.m. near the Chicago Theater, with seven teenagers ages 13 to 17 sustaining gunshot wounds, according to a statement from the Chicago Police Department.

One unidentified male victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at Northwestern Hospital. An 18-year-old man was wounded in the leg and hospitalized in serious condition.
