Northern Colorado—specifically a town called Fort Collins—has recently made headlines for its rabbit population after it was revealed that several of them had long black tentacles growing all over their bodies.

Though the strange growths on these animals may look intimidating, experts say there’s not much to worry about, and they're caused by a fairly common virus

The unsightly bunnies are infected with cottontail rabbit papillomavirus, which can cause growths that resemble warts or tentacles.
