August 29 - The short-handed Dallas Wings signed guard Christyn Williams to an extreme hardship contract on Friday. Before the deal, which does not have a timeframe, Dallas did not have the minimum eight players available for Friday night's road game against the Atlanta Dream.

Injuries have played a big role in Christyn Williams not playing in the WNBA. But a rash of injuries to the Dallas Wings is giving the former UConn women's basketball guard another opportunity. The Wings announced Friday that they have signed the 2022 UConn graduate to an extreme hardship contract and she'll be available Friday night when Dallas (9-30) visit the Atlanta Dream.
