MIAMI (AP) — A Mexican man who was struck and killed by a tractor trailer in Florida after running from federal immigration officers was vacationing in the U.S. and had a tourist visa, according to a Mexico official and a group assisting his wife.

Tropical Storm Bertha became the second named storm of the 2026 Atlantic hurricane season July 20. As of July 21, Bertha is expected to remain a tropical storm as it moves slowly across the Gulf. Forecasters are predicting Bertha will strengthen slightly before gradually weakening later this week.
