The law signed by Gov. Ron DeSantis makes it a state crime to enter Florida after coming into the United States illegally and to re-enter the state following deportation.

The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected Florida‘s emergency request to allow the state to enforce a law that would ban illegal immigrants from entering the state. The decision leaves a lower court’s ruling in place.
