Hamas is seeking guarantees that a new US-backed ceasefire proposal for Gaza would lead to the war’s end, a source close to the group said, as medics said Israeli strikes across the territory had killed dozens more people.

A source tells CNN that top Hamas leaders are expected to meet to decide whether to accept the new U.S. ceasefire plan for Gaza. It comes as health officials in Gaza report more than 80 Palestinians killed in airstrikes and gunfire close to aid sites.
