Interstate 75 southbound has reopened after a crash shutdown several lanes overnight. All of this happened around 2:30 a.m., near the Western Hills exit. WLWT's cameras saw at least two vehicles involved in the crash. A pickup truck on scene was seen severely damaged in the wreck and flipped on its side.

Another person was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

The southbound lanes of Interstate 57 have reopened after a person was fatally hit by a vehicle early Sunday morning in the south suburbs. The crash happened shortly after 4 a.m. near Vollmer Road in Country Club Hills.

Authorities said a multi-vehicle crash occurred on I-57 near Vollmer Road around 4:05 a.m. Sunday, and an occupant from one of the crashed vehicles left their car and was struck.
