Maryland has finalized a $2.25 billion settlement with the owner and operator of the cargo ship Dali, closing a major chapter in the legal fight over the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge — but the state says its pursuit of accountability is far from over.

The Maryland Department of Health said that the two residents were on a flight that "briefly included a M/V Hondius cruise ship passenger infected with hantavirus."
