As of 6 p.m., 420,000 New Yorkers had cast their ballots, according to the city’s Board of Elections. That number does not include mail-in votes, only in-person and early vote totals. Last year’s mayoral primary, a contest that engaged voters citywide, had 831,000 residents vote by 6 p.m.
