Democratic nominee Abdul El-Sayed trails Republican Mike Rogers in Michigan's Senate race, according to a new Fox News poll released on Thursday. Rogers leads El-Sayed 51 percent to 47 percent among registered voters, giving the Republican a four-point advantage in the closely watched contest, but within the survey's margin of error.

Michigan, the hardest-hit state in a multistate outbreak of cyclosporiasis, on Thursday reported 13,909 cases linked to ​the parasitic disease, up roughly 11% over last week, but state officials said the rise largely reflected a processing backlog and the worst may be over.
