Mississippi athletic director Keith Carter, members of the football team and even the state's top public safety officer are challenging the veracity of Lane Kiffin's portrayal of the events surrounding his departure for LSU.

STARKVILLE — Mississippi State football will be signing prospects in its 2026 recruiting class today. The early signing period is Dec. 3-5. The Bulldogs have already made one big splash leading up to signing day when they flipped five-star safety Bralan Womack from Auburn on Dec. 1. He'd be MSU's first five-star since Charles Cross in 2019.
