Netflix has announced it has renewed sci-fi series 3 Body Problem for a second season. David Benioff, D.B. Weiss, and Alexander Woo will return as the show’s executive producers and writers.

Right now, Netflix’s priority is getting as many eyes on the launch as possible. At this point, the streamer is no stranger to massive global campaigns, and 3 Body Problem is getting exactly that.

Netflix needs “3 Body Problem” to be a multi-season hit Back in 2019, Benioff and Weiss inked an exclusive deal with Netflix that was reportedly worth $200 million.

The update comes less than a month after “3 Body Problem” was renewed mid-May during Netflix’s upfront presentation in New York City. However, the extent of that renewal was previously unclear.

In addition to the continuation of 3 Body Problem, they are currently working on the recently announced series Death by Lightning. Their original 2019 overall deal was for at least $200 million.
