As of 6 p.m., 420,000 New Yorkers had cast their ballots, according to the city’s Board of Elections. That number does not include mail-in votes, only in-person and early vote totals. The mayoral election last year — notable for its exceptionally high turnout — had 831,000 residents vote by 6 p.m.
