The Indian Army has denied reports of Pakistan's unprovoked cross-border firing in the Mankote sector of Poonch.

It has been reported that the Indian Army retaliated to the ceasefire violation, and firing exchange continued for 15 minutes. However, there has been no report of any casualties.

Immediately after reports of a ceasefire violation by the Pakistani army, the Indian Army on Tuesday stated that there had been no violation of the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

"There have been some media and social media reports regarding ceasefire violation in Poonch region. It is clarified that there has been NO ceasefire violation along the Line of Control," the army said.
