A raft of talented musicians come together to form the new King Ultramega supergroup and pay tribute to late Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell.

King Ultramega's official debut release, a cover of Soundgarden's 1992 single Rusty Cage, is the first in a series of releases that'll celebrate Cornell's legacy while raising funds and awareness for MusiCares, the organisation that provides a safety net of critical health and welfare services to the music community.
Chris Cornell Tribute Supergroup Launches with Cover of Soundgarden's "Rusty Cage"
The band on "Rusty Cage" includes vocalist William DuVall (Alice in Chains), guitarist Bill Kelliher (Mastodon), drummer Charlie Benante (Anthrax, Pantera) and bassist Mark Menghi (Metal Allegiance). Future contributors to the project include Soundgarden's own Kim Thayil, Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz, Mastodon's Bill Kelliher and more.
