On Friday night (May 19), during a concert in Washington, DC, Eric Church added his name to that list with a cover of "Rusty Cage." Readers can press play above to watch Church's "Rusty Cage" cover.

"Rusty Cage" appeared on Soundgarden's 1991 studio album Badmotorfinger. Though the song didn't chart stateside, it did earn considerable airplay on MTV and quickly became a fan favorite.

At the end of his "Rusty Cage" delivery, Church gave some signature belts, which were met with applause. The Chief is far from the only country artist influenced by Cornell.

Soundgarden has released a rare, alternate version of "Rusty Cage" ahead of their 25th anniversary box set reissue of 'Badmotorfinger,' due this fall.
