Hollow Knight: Silksong has released today and the major video game storefronts are struggling to stay online. Shortly after Silksong ’s 10 AM ET release time, Steam, the Nintendo eShop, Xbox, and PlayStation were either displaying error messages or failed to load entirely.

Hollow Knight Silksong has been dubbed the 'GTA 6 of indie games' because of the massive demand that is knocking Steam, PS Store, Xbox, and more offline.

It's no surprise that Silksong of all games has brought down all of the gaming digital storefronts. The game started its life as DLC for Hollow Knight back in 2018, before being transitioned to a full standalone sequel in 2019 and being in development since then.
