Wildfires continue to burn across a massive area in Canada, particularly in the provinces of Saskatchewan and Manitoba.

As smoke begins to dissipate, Michigan's statewide advisories have ended, though some remain for Upper Peninsula and northern areas as for Aug. 6.

"Wildfire smoke looks to persist throughout Michigan through at least Monday as winds shift," said state meteorologist Alec Kownacki.

In Grand Rapids, the Air Quality Index, which measures particle pollution in the air, was over 100 AQI six of the last seven days!
