In the days following the outage, many Starlink customers have reported significantly faster internet speeds — with some indicating performance improvements of as much as 3x to 8x their previous speeds. Still, others have reported more persistent connection issues and slower speeds since the outage.

Since Thursday's outage, a few Starlink users have reported faster speeds, raising speculation that the outage happened while SpaceX was trying to upgrade its network.

SpaceX launched 28 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station's Pad 40 in Florida at 5:01 a.m. EDT Saturday.
