Republican U.S. Sen. Susan Collins returned to Congress this week after a month-long recess. While she made few public appearances during her time in Maine, some of her constituents seized opportunities to hear directly from her Democratic challengers.

Maine Beer Co. co-founder Dan Kleban launched his Senate campaign Wednesday, joining an increasingly crowded Democratic primary.

Dan Kleban is the eighth Democrat to enter the race, although it's unclear how many of them will remain in the contest if Gov. Janet Mills enters the race. His introduction video focuses on his personal story and efforts to build one of the largest breweries in the state.
