FAA certifies Boeing 737 MAX 7, boosting Southwest's fleet plan
The 737-7 has been delayed for years after Boeing came under regulatory scrutiny following two, separate fatal crashes in which Boeing 737 MAX jets plummeted to the ground in Indonesia and Ethiopia in 2018 and 2019. The 737 MAX was grounded in March 2019 before being cleared to fly in November 2020 .
