Ecuador was hit with an hours-long nationwide blackout on Wednesday that left the South American nation's 17 million people without power.

Jio officials confirmed that a fiber cut in Tamil Nadu had triggered the outage, which temporarily affected nationwide services. “All issues have been resolved now," a Jio official reportedly said.
