A $1.5 million Buddha sculpture that was stolen from a Los Angeles art gallery last week has been recovered — and one man has been arrested in connection to the brazen heist, according to police.

Los Angeles police recovered a stolen 250-pound Japanese Buddha statue valued at $1.5 million over the weekend and arrested a suspect in the case, authorities said Wednesday.

Tsushima, Nagasaki Pref. – A Buddha statue stolen in 2012 and taken to South Korea was returned to a temple on Tsushima, an island in Nagasaki Prefecture, on Monday.
