President Donald Trump's Human Resources chief forecasted that the US government will shed about 300,000 workers over the course of 2025, a 12.5% drop.

By the end of 2025, the Trump administration likely will have shed around 300,000 workers, Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor told Reuters on Thursday.

The outlet later posted the story to the r/politics subreddit, where thousands of people reacted and commented.

VA Secretary Doug Collins said the decision to end the labor contracts of most of its workers follows an executive order from Donald Trump in March.
