A new report from the CDC found that the U.S., has the highest rate of measles since 2000. Per the CDC’s report, several states this year have reported at least one measles case.

Only 92.7% of kindergarteners in the U.S. had the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine in the 2023-2024 school year, below the 95% needed to prevent outbreaks.

The U.S. has reported 1,288 measles cases this year — the highest number in 33 years, according to the latest figures from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
