It won’t count in the standings, but the two schools haven’t faced each other since 2014, when the Broncos won by 11 in the same arena.

Guards Julian Bowie, Pearson Carmichael and RJ Keene II and forwards Javan Buchanan and Andrew Meadow are all notable returnees for Boise State. The Broncos also added point guard Dylan Andrews (UCLA) and forward Drew Fielder (Georgetown) in the transfer portal.

The last time the Boise State and Idaho basketball teams played was on Nov. 25, 2014. The Vandals traveled to the formerly named CenturyLink Arena in downtown Boise, where they fell to the Broncos, 86-75. Now, both programs – 11 years later – will play in the now-renamed Idaho Central Arena.
